The magnificence of that period left in the city many unique buildings, eight of which were declared Unesco Humanity Heritage. San Vitale Basilica<\/strong>
This Basilica was built in VI century and is one of the most important monuments of Ravenna. It is famous for its mosaics which decorate the interior with scenes from the Bible and portraits of important religious and imperial personalities. <\/p>\n

The Arian Baptistery<\/strong>
Built in the fifth century A.D. it is one of the most ancient Christian monuments of Ravenna. The mosaics in the interior represent religious scenes and Christian symbols. <\/p>\n

Mausoleum of Galla Placidia<\/strong>
Built in the fifth century A.D. it is well known for its fine mosaics, which are considered among the most extraordinary examples of late ancient art. The mosaics illustrate biblical scenes and Christian symbols and are praised for their beauty and refinement. <\/p>\n

Basilica of New St.Apollinare<\/strong>
Built in the sixth century A.D. is well known for its mosaics that decorate the main apse with scenes of the life of Jesus and with characters from the bible and saints.<\/p>\n

Mausoleum of Theodoric<\/strong>
A unique monument unique built in gothic style in the sixth century A.D.. Even though it is not covered by mosaics like other buildings in Ravenna it is nonetheless a very interesting place to visit due to its historical and architectonic importance. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
