Florence is THE art city by definition, it enchants the visitors with its extraordinary cultural and artistic richness. At only 120 km from Sacramora 12 it is easily reached by car or with a panoramic train that links Faenza to the Renaissance city passing through unique towns such as Brisighella and Marradi.
Standing at the heart of the Toscana region, Florence had a crucial role in the development of art and architecture and shaped the European culture. Its squares such as Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria are a celebration of architectural and sculptural masterpieces, dominated by the majesty of Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore and by the statues of Palazzo Vecchio . <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
<\/b>The visit to the complex of the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral, commonly known as the Duomo of Firenze, incorporates four attractions in one: the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in itself, its iconic dome by Brunelleschi, the bell tower by Giotto and the Baptistery of San Giovanni.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria
<\/b>Palazzo Vecchio (The Old Palace) is a wonderful example of Florentine 14th century architecture that can be found in many other historical buildings in Tuscany. On its side is the Loggia dei Lanzi, an open air museum where some wonderful statues are displayed, such as Perseo with the head of Medusa by Benvenuto Cellini and the Rapture of the Sabine women by Giambologna. Also, among the many attractions of Piazza Signoria we wish to mention some statues such as the Neptune Fountain by Bartolomeo Ammannati and a replica of the very famous David by Michelangelo (the original is exposed in the nearby Gallery of Accademia). <\/span><\/p>\n

Ponte Vecchio (The olde bridge)
<\/b>Among the four bridges that cross Florence historical centre the most famous and most often portrayed in photos is without any doubts the Ponte Vecchio. Its iconic shape made it one of the indisputable symbols of the city. <\/span><\/p>\n

Piazza Santa Croce (Santa Croce Square)
<\/b>It is perhaps the square that the Florentines love the most thanks to the presence of the Santa Croce Basilica with its magnificent neogothic facade. On the left side of the Basilica is the statue of Dante, made in 1865.

Galleria degli Uffizi (Uffizi Gallery)
<\/b><\/span>The most visited museum in the city and by all means of the most famous museums in the world. Here one can find some truly unique works of art: the Birth of Venus and Spring by Sandro Botticelli, the Tondo Doni by Michelangelo, the double portrait of the Dukes of Urbino by Piero della Francesca, the Majesty of All Saints by Giotto, the Worship of the Three Wise Men by Leonardo da Vinci, the Venus of Urbino byTiziano Vecellio and many others more.
